Final Respects

Final Respects

The family of Moosey (Tom Moulton) would like to invite all the people that were a part of his life to join them at Southend Crematorium on Thursday 13th August at 12:40pm.

There is no dress code, but please wear what you feel is an appropriate representation of your relationship with Moose.

Due to Moosey’s big heart and big presence we understand that there is a lot of people who would like to pay their final respects, we ask that this is done at the crematorium. We have an open door attitude towards this occasion.

Due to number restrictions at our chosen venue, personal invitations will follow shortly to his afterparty. There will be a number of social gatherings and fundraisers in the coming months which will be open to everyone. If by Monday 10th August you haven’t received your invitation to Moosey’s afterparty please let us know if you feel you have been missed by emailing

There will be family flowers only, with donations to be made towards the underfunded work of Epilepsy Research UK and Tom’s legacy at Southend YMCA by either donating online to or physical donations to: Guivers 416 Rayleigh Road Eastwood, SS9 5PT c/o Michael May.

Please remember to check your other inbox on facebook via the desktop site or you may miss your invitation to the afterparty.

I did not know Tom well but I do remember him vividly from some of the projects I helped with at Southend YMCA. He must have made a lasting impression because I was stunned into silence at the news of his passing, 4 years since I worked with him. I would often see snippets of his life on my news feed, it was all positivity and excitement.
I hope that it in some way brings comfort to his loved ones that an individual who barely new him understands that our world is a little less richer for not having him in it, he truly did come across as a wonderful person and I wish I knew him better.

I have worked with Tom for the past year as. Trustee of the YMCA, but more especially Tom supported our new charity Aspirations formed to help young people aspire and achieve their dreams, he supported young people from the Y and indeed they were one of the first beneficiaries of Aspirations, he encouraged them to bid into Us. He was able to join us at our charity Breakfast at the Roslin Beach Hotel where he supported the young person who told us most movingly what the money meant to them, a lovely young man with such a big heart who was ever mindful of those less fortunate young people. He will be remembered for his love for others especially the disadvantaged young in Southend.
